Another issue is that we aren't looking enough to what Toothless did in HTTYD1 and in the series and shorts because in the more recent movies, he doesn't show his real speed, because in the series, he was able to break the sound barrier, and even in HTTYD1 he showed his almost max speed which was so fast, he could barely handle the speed and friction as a young dragon, so we might have to look more where Toothless showed his max speed rather than more recent things where he doesn't even fly faster than Stormfly. I might have to disagree here because Night Furies can travel faster than sound and break the sound barrier when the Skrill never did, even when flying in a straight line at max speed like the Night Fury did after a dive, also Night Furies are can support such pressure and friction during a dive because of their streamlined body design and all of their muscle, a Skrill wouldn't attempt divebombing the way a Night Fury does, also Night Furies can maintain their speed for a period of time without crashing, and the Skrill's speed is normally 11/20, but increases to 19/20 when riding lightning, which is less than a Nigth Fury'sspeed of 20/20, and a Skrill's speed boost is shorter and only works when the Skrill goes upwards, contrary to the Night Fury's which speed boost can last longer and is the dragon is still able to control his speed and maneouver without crashing, but a problem is we are taking all of this information from what we have seen from Toothless, who is an individual with a prosthetic tailfin, but the prosthetic tailfin might not help him to reach max speed like it would with a real tailfin, so a generic Night Fury might be able to reach speeds faster than those of a Skrill since they don't have a fake tailfin.
